MPs to look after schools

LAHORE - Punjab Minister for Education Rana Mashhood Ahmad Khan has said that all ministers and members of parliament will look after a school under “Parho Punjab – Barho Punjab” programme. He said that no child would be deprived of admission in schools during next three years.
He expressed these views while addressing a review meeting about the said programme on Wednesday. Senior officers of District Government and Education Department were present on the occasion.
The minister said that no country could progress or face future challenges without modern education. He said that the government had been spending billions of rupees since 2010 on provision of missing facilities in schools to improve education standard.
He said that provincial government was converting schools on solar energy whereas smart boards were also being introduced. He said that provision of quality education is the first and foremost priority of the Punjab government and no stone will be left unturned to achieve this objective.
