Dr Nizami promoted children literature

LAHORE - Speakers at a seminar said that Dr Majid Nizami worked a lot for promoting literature for children.
Addressing a gathering titled: “Dr Majid Nizami-A Well wisher of Children Literature”, they highlighted the role of late Dr Majid Nizami. They said that Dr Majid Nizami was true facilitator of children literature.
Monthly Phool and Academy of Letters for children jointly administered the seminar at Hameed Nizami Hall on Friday.
Fiction writer and columnist Bushra Rehman said that girls should follow values of their forefathers so that they could nurture new generation in a good manner.
Dr Ajmal Niazi said that Majid Nizami had a great love for children. He said that Majid Nizami was the tallest personality of this era and nobody could deny his services. MPA Rana Arshad said that Majid Nizami played key role when Pakistan did atomic explosions.
Director Hameed Nizami Press Institute of Pakistan Absar Abdul Ali said that Phool promotes characterization of children.
Phool Editor Shuaib Mirza said that Dr Majid Nizami had great love for children literature. “Young Nation reflect his love for children,” he added.
Muzafar Mohsin, Red Cross Secretary Justice (r) Mahboob Qadir Shah, Tasir Mustafa, and others also paid tribute to the services of Dr Majid Nizami. The Editor Phool also presented gifts to the guests. The seminar was attended by people from all walks of life.
Meanwhile, Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust Vice Chairman Prof Dr Rafique Ahmad said that the Indian Muslims took part in an epoch-making struggle under the inspiring guidance of Quaid-e-Azam.
Dr Rafique Ahmad expressed these ideas while addressing the executive members of the National Bank of Pakistan from all over the country including Lahore at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.
“Pakistan was born on the basis of the two-nation theory. Every country has its ideology. We must be proud of our ideology as it prepares us for the conquest of nature. We started from scratch and attained the status of a nuclear-armed state,” Dr Rafique observed.
“The Nazaria-i-Pakistan Trust is informing the youth about the ideology of Pakistan, the Pakistan Movement, the real causes of the establishment of Pakistan and life and services of the heroes of the Pakistan Movement. Dr Majid Nizami re-organised the institution founded by former Punjab chief minister Ghulam Hyder Wyne in 1992,” he held.
Earlier, the honorable guests visited the Pakistan Movement picture gallery at the Aiwan-i-Karkunan-i-Tehreek-i-Pakistan.
