Girl’s school bombed in Khyber Agency

KHYBER AGENCY - Unknown militants have bombed a state-run girls’ primary school in Manday Kas, Sipah area of tehsil Bara, Khyber Agency, sources said yesterday.
The official sources said that heavy intensity bomb planted by undisclosed persons to the Government Girls Primary School, Hakim Khan Kalley went off with big bang. Resultantly the boundary wall of the school was partially damaged, sources said.
No causality was reported as the school was closed due to insurgency and military operation being carried out there, sources said.
With the new incident the figure of destroyed schools in Bara tehsil rose to 92, education officials said.
It is to be mentioned here that Sipah area of Bara has not been cleared yet and repatriation of tribesmen to the area has not been initiated, therefore all educational, health and other public interest related institutions have remained closed so far, administration official said.
