ADO education suspended over corruption

KARAK - Assistant District Officer Education Abdullah Khan Khattak was suspended on charges of corruption and misuse of authority by the district nazim and asked the district education officer Karak to conduct detail enquiry against the officer.
A delegation of All Primary Teachers Association (APTA) Karak led by its District President Javaid Iqbal Khattak met with the district Nazim Dr Umer Daraza Khattak and apprised him in detail about the embezzlement made by ADO Abdullah Khan Khattak of Ahmadi Banda circle in the purchase of solar system. The delegation further claimed that the said officer while misusing his authority also embezzled the repairing funds and added that they have complained against him on different forums but to no avail.
The delegation presented a written application against the aforementioned ADO to district nazim to take step against him and demanded to conduct enquiry against him.
The district nazim while taking action on the written application of APTA office bearers immediately suspended the ADO and asked the district education officer Karak Abdus Salam Marwat to conduct departmental enquiry against the said officer. Khattak said that corruption in any department and in any form would not be tolerated and he resolved to make the corrupt element an example for the rest of the society.
The delegation also complained that the police was harassing the heads of schools in the name of security and they have been given 15 days of ultimatum for making appropriate arrangements for the security of their schools.
They added that the schools particularly the primary schools have no funds to install close circuit cameras and raise the boundary walls. They informed that FIRs have been registered against majority heads of primary schools of the district in which many schools have no boundary walls at all as they have no funds.
They said that they have no funds to purchase weapons for the guards. They demanded of the district nazim that the harassment of the teachers in the name of security should be stopped. The district nazim assured the APTA delegation that their complaints would be addressed.
Dist cabinet of class-IV employees formed: The district cabinet of class-IV employees association was formed here on Sunday at district Karak.
The provincial president of association Akbar Khan Mohmand claimed that so far the association has upgraded more than 1, 00,000 class-IV employees to highs scales on the basis of their education. According to election results, Zahid Iqbal was elected as Chairman of the association, Maqbool Islam President, Fazal Subhan senior vice president, Qamar Zaman vice president, Muhammad Tahir general secretary, Mujeebur Rehman finance secretary and Muhammad Siraj secretary information.
After election the provincial president Akbar Mohmand administered the oath taking ceremony and claimed that their problems would be resolved through elected cabinet.
He stressed on class-IV employees to show unity in their ranks to resolve their problems as early as possible.
