OKARA- The education is the key to progress and prosperity of a country and the dream of progress cannot be materialised until the youth is equipped with education.
Renowned Educationist Prof Iqrar Ali Rao stated while speaking at Meet the Press programme here at press club the other day. He pointed out that the Punjab government has taken revolutionary steps for the promotion of education. He regretted that the education system is suffering from many maladies, adding that the main cause of these problems is low budgetary allocation for the education sector. The educationist said that the current education system is a victim of defective policies, lack of good teachers, bad management and poor research work. “The curriculum is old and the system is not adapting to the advancements of the world. He urged the government raise the budget for education sector and evolve uniform policies for private and state owned schools.
