Commissioner and DCO Lahore transferred
 
 
 
LAHORE - The Punjab government on Saturday transferred and posted DCO Lahore besides relieving Commissioner of the City of the additional charge, while both of these have been replaced by ex-armymen.
Besides these two more secretaries and four DCOs have been also transferred and posted, excluding a few other changes in the administration.
According to a source, one of the reasons for the transfer of the Commissioner and DCO was that they both were not even on working terms. Secondly, new men replacing them are considered to be close to the PPP-men, who are making all efforts to post their favourites at important posts.
Secretary Forestry, Wildlife & Fisheries Department Maj. (r) Azam Suleman Khan has been transferred and posted as Commissioner, Lahore Division, Lahore against a vacant post, relieving Khusro Pervaiz Khan, Project Director, PMU, Lahore Ring Road, Lahore of additional charge of the post.
District Coordination Officer Sajjad Ahmad Bhutta has been transferred and directed to report to the Services and General Administration Department for further orders.
DCO Jhelum Capt. (R) Nasim Nawaz has been transferred and posted as DCO, Lahore.
Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Secretary Ex-servicemen Re-employment Board, S&GAD, Punjab has been transferred and posted as DCO, Jhang, vice Asad Islam Mahni, transferred, who has been made OSD.
Capt (r) Fazeel Asghar, DCO, City District Government, Multan, has been relieved of his duties in Punjab, to join his new assignment as Chief Commissioner, Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) Islamabad, under Ministry of Interior, Government of Pakistan, Islamabad.
Dr. Sajid Yosufani, Provincial programme Director, Decentralization Support Programme, Punjab, Finance Department, has been transferred and posted as Secretary (Implementation & Coordination). S&GAD, Punjab vice Capt. (r) Muhammad Khurram Agha, transferred. He has also been relieved of additional charge of the post of Acting General manager, Punjab Pension Fund. Naveed Alauddin, Special Secretary, Finance Department shall hold charge of the post of Provincial Programme Director, Decentralisation Support Programme, Punjab, FD, in addition to his own duties and till further orders. Secretary (Implementation & Coordination), S&GAD, Captain (r) Muhammad Khurram Agha has been transferred and posted as DCO, City District Government Multan in his own pay and scale, relieving Capt. (r) Fazeel Asghar.
Muhammad Omar Masood, Additional Secretary, Finance Department Punjab shall hold charge of the post of Acting General Manager, Punjab Pension Fund, in addition to his own duties and till further orders.
OSD, S&GAD, Zahid Hussain Gillani has been posted as Executive District Officer (Revenue) Rahim Yar Khan, vice Tariq Zaman Khan, transferred, who has been posted as District Administrator, Afghan Refugees, Mianwali, in place of Malik Mukhtar Ahmad Naul, who has been directed to report to S&GAD, for further orders.
Deputy District Officer (R) Mankera Afzal Ahmad Qamar has been transferred and posted as District Monitoring Officer, Jhelum against a vacant post.
DDO (R) Hassanabdal Tariq Karim Khokhar has been transferred and posted as DDO (Registration) Sheikhupura against a vacant post.
DDO (R) Noorpur Thal Ali Arshad has been transferred and posted as DDO (Registration) Kharian against a vacant post. Shahid Ismail Mirza, TMO, TMA Khiyali Shahpur Town, Gujranwalla has been transferred and directed to report to S&GAD.
Ishfaq Ahmad, awaiting posting in S&GAD has been posted as DDO (Coordination), Bahawalpur, against a vacant post.
Tasneem Ali, SO, Agriculture Marketing Department, Punjab has been transferred and posted as DDO (Registration), Nankana Sahib against a vacant post.
Orders regarding transferring/posting of Nasir Mahmood Bashir, Additional Commissioner, Bahawalpur/EDO (Revenue) Bahawalpur (Additional charge), as EDO (Revenue) Sahiwal, vice Iftikhar Rasool, directing him to report o S&GAD Punjab for further orders and Faisal Zahoor, OSD S&GAD Punjab as EDO (Revenue) Bahawalpur, against a vacant post, have been held in abeyance.
Tallat Mahmood Tariq has been appointed as Member, Punjab Service Tribunal, Lahore, with effect from 20.03.09, that is, one day after his retirement from government service, on attaining the age of superannuation, on contract basis, against a vacant post.
