The Budget for 2012-13 announced Friday made a total allocation of Rs 545.386 billion for Defence. According to budgetary documents, an increase of Rs 35.207 billion has been made in the defence budget over the revised estimates of Rs 510.179 billion during the year 2010-11. During 2011-12 budget, an allocation of Rs 495.215 billion was made for defence but the expenditure went up to Rs 510.179 billion, an increase of about Rs 15 billion for the defence sector.
