ISLAMABAD : Despite the clear directive of the SBP to ensure proper maintenance of the ATMs, the banks have failed to comply with it which is irksome for the general public especially the salaried class. The out-of-order ATMs  throughput the country especially in Islamabad and Rawalpindi are creating problems for the account holders. Several of these ATMs either lack cash or found out of order during the salaries days of the month- the first couple of dates of every month. The ATM users complained that “Messages like out of cash, ATM is closed for maintenance work, link is down, service is not available and your transaction could not be completed due to software problem’ are often seen flashing on the screen of ATMs.
