LAHORE - National Institute of Design & Analysis (NIDA), a subsidiary of TUSDEC organised a ceremony at Nishtar Hall, Peshawar to award the certificates to the beneficiaries trained by the NIDA centre in different disciplines such as electrical, electronics, mechanical and civil engineering.
Provincial Minister of Science & Technology, Shahram Khan Tarakai along with CEO TUSDEC Basit Maqsood Abbasi presented awards to the graduates of the programme.  NIDA joined hands with the Directorate of Science and Technology, Government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa to foster the local industry with technically skilled manpower The programme was funded by Government of Khyber Pakhtunkwa for the capacity building of technicians/para-technicians through technical training courses to transform them into a productive workforce to trigger the wheel of economy. NIDA Peshawar has launched a series of training courses in the field of electrical, electronics, mechanical and civil engineering under the programme and apprised the students with an operable curricula with additional emphasize on practical training. 
Basit Maqsood Abbasi, Chief Executive Officer TUSDEC, said that NIDA is successfully consummating the need of proficient manpower in the field of digital product design and engineering. NIDA has so far trained a pool of around 12,000 students, engineers and mid-career professionals who are contributing towards digital transformation of our industrial environment.
 He further shared that TUSDEC is contemplating to expand the parameter of CAD/CAM centres towards the industrial clusters of Faisalabad, Gujranwala, Hyderabad, Multan and Rawalpindi to facilitate the industrial terrain with improved design engineering and expertise.
