ISLAMABAD (Online) The Federal Finance Minister, Sheikh Abdul Hafeez is to depart for Vietnam to attend the 44th Board of Governors meeting of ADB (Asian Development Bank), on Monday (today). More than 4,000 policy makers, representatives, observers, business magnates, journalists, teachers, and members of civil society from world over are scheduled to attend the event starting from May 3, 2011. On the side lines of the global conference, the federal finance minister Abdul Hafeez Sheikh would also be seeking budgetary support of more than US $ one billion, during talks with both presidents of World Bank and ADB. It is pertinent to remember that Pakistan has already applied for letter of comfort for budgetary support from international donors, ADB, World Bank and IMF (International Monetary Fund), regarding finance bill for FY 2011-12. IMF representatives have assured Pakistan for its much-needed budgetary support worth US$ 3 trillion. Among other issues the conference would also deliberate on such issues as inflated food and petroleum prices, ending poverty, global environmental Changes, and long-term economic stability and progress for Asian Continent
