LAHORE (PR): The 3-day long Inter-School Bay View College Model United Nations hosted by Bay View College came to an end with a well-organized closing ceremony this Sunday. The BayMun journey for the three days of conference was themed as “A Search for Clarity in Chaos.” Like every other MUN conference, BayMun required research, well-thought attention to detail in international relations and powerful oration to make one a winner. But it also required proper etiquettes to put forward relevant arguments backed by factual information.
The ceremony was opened with Quran recitation and thank you speeches from Senior Coordinator, Co-Curricular Ms. Rashida Naeem, Head of A-Levels Mr. Nadeem Islam and Director of Studies Ms. Karen Ahmed.
A special address was made by the Chief Guest, Dr. Nauman Naqvi, Acting Dean of Habib University who encouraged students to use the theme of BayMun to search for clarity in the world around them and to make a place for themselves in cut-throat competition as they become ready to step into avenues of higher education.
Awards were given to Best Delegates from every committee by their respective Chairs. Students were also recognized through Special Mentions and Best Position Paper. The Karachi Grammar School Delegation won the Best Delegation Award. The ceremony ended with dinner for the participating Delegates and Chairs.
With a successful turnout of 250 delegates this year, the BayMun Host Team is very content and looks forward to organizing yet another winning, promising and memorable MUN next year.
