KARACHI - The Cotton Exchange-Karachi here on Monday issued a provisional list of candidates for the election of the Executive Committee of Karachi Cotton Association (KCA).
In compliance with the notice issued on 21-08-2014 under Rule 14 to 21 of TOR 2013, 13 candidates were said to had filed their nomination papers as members of the Executive Committee, against six vacant seats, for the election of the Executive Committee 2014-15.
The candidates contesting as KCA’s corporate members included Ahmed Ebrahim (M/s. Ebrahim Textile Mills (Pvt) Limited); Anwer Haji Karim (M/s Al-Karam Textile Mills (Pvt) Limited); Amin Hashwani (M/s Regent Textile industries ltd); Asif Bashir (M/s. Shams Textile Mills Ltd); A. Shakoor Dada (M/s.Star Cotton Corp. (Pvt) Limited); Jahangir Moghul (M/s Moghul and sons); Maqbool Sadiq (M/s Haji Khudabux Amir umar); Mohammad Atif (M/s Dad Sons (Pvt.)Limited); Mohammad Sohail (M/s Khudabux Enterprises); Sohail Naseem (M/s Naseem Exports (Pvt) Limited); Wahid S.Balagamwala (M/s Junaid Salman cotton Ginners); Waqas Anwar (M/s Amir Umar industries (Pvt) Limited); Zahid Bashir (M/s Mohd Amin Mohd Bashir Ltd). Amir Javed (M/s Gold Mohur Corporation); Muhammad Khalid (M/s Osama corporation); Naser Wahab (Ms/Five Star Enterprises) and ShahidShafiq (M/s Shahid Shafiq) were said to had filed their nomination papers as associated members.
Objections, if any, to the nomination of the candidates can be filed to the election Commission by Tuesday afernoon (1600 hours). As for withdrawals, if any, could admitted latest by September 10.
