Agreement signed for modern transportation in city

LAHORE - The Lahore Transport Company (LTC) and Premier Trading Services on Tuesday signed an agreement for the provision of modern and comfortable transport facilities to the people in city. The agreement was signed by Chief Executive The Lahore Transport Company (LTC), Jai Ik Kim and CEO of Premier Trading Services Noor-ud-Din Ahmad. According to an official handout issued on Tuesday, General Manager Operations Asad Gillani, Senior Manager Operations Tanveer Saddique and Manager Premier Trading Services Maqsood Khan were also present on the occasion. Chief Executive Officer Lahore Transport Company Jai Ik Kim said that LTC has initiated a pilot project for providing modern transport facilities to the people on the route of Kahna to Lahore Railway Station. He said that under a phased programme, LTC would provide latest transport facilities to the citizens throughout the city on the pattern of the pilot project. He disclosed that LTC has been authorized to take action against illegal transport including those companies, which are plying their vehicles without route permit. He said that 40 Transport Enforcement Inspectors of LTC are taking action against illegal transport. CEO Premier Trading Company Noor-ud-Din Ahmed said that modern and comfortable transport facilities would be provided to the citizens on B-09 route, which is from Kahna to Lahore Railway Station and the agreement with LTC would be honoured. He said that this agreement would play an important role for the success of the Pilot Project of LTC. He said that public-private partnership in transport sector would provide relief to the people.
