KARACHI - The dollar recorded strength against the rupee in the interbank market, dealers said Tuesday.
It started the day’s trading at Rs 89.93 for buying, increased 19 paisas and closed at Rs 90.12 for buying and Rs 90.17 for selling.
The European currency recorded strength against the rupee as it began the day’s trading at Rs 116.15 for buying, gained Rs 1.22 and closed at Rs 117.37 for buying and Rs 117.57 for selling.
The British pound gained strength against local currency, it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 138.58 for buying, rose Rs 1.84 and closed at Rs 140.42 for buying and Rs 140.62 for selling.
In open market the dollar recorded high against rupee, dealers said. It began the day’s trading at Rs 89.9, gained five paisas and closed at Rs 89.95 for buying and Rs 90.4 for selling. The Euro gained its value against local currency as it started the day’s trading at Rs 116, rose 10 paisas and closed at Rs 116.1 for buying and Rs 118.2 for selling.
The British currency witnessed high record against the rupee, it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 139, went 20 paisas up and closed at Rs 139.2 for buying and Rs 141.2 for selling.
