LAHORE (PPI) - The City District Government Lahore (CDGL) has purchased 800 metric ton sugar from Trading Corporation of Pakistan (TCP). This sugar stock would arrive in city during current week and it would be provided at subsidised rate of Rs 62 per kg at Sunday Bazaars. Each consumer would be allowed to purchase 1 kg packet from the prescribed stall, CDGL sources added. It is stated here that sugar shortage has become a serious problem and sugar rate has touched Rs 90 per kg in open market.
