France keen to develop Partner Programme

LAHORE - The government needs to curb illegal trade as it is not only hampering the growth of trade and industry but also causing a huge loss to national exchequer. The protection and facilitation to legal business would be instrumental in knowledge transfer efforts as well as ultimate benefit to end users. The representative of French Company APC by Schneider, Muneeb Khawaja, who is vice president IT Business for Pakistan & Afghanistan, said this while giving a detailed briefing about the working of the company at seminar held by Pakistan Computer Association (PCA), Islamabad Chapter. Muneeb Khawja said that to achieve sustainable development, Pakistan not only needs to enhance its power generation capacity but also adapting modern power conservation technology would be as vital step in this regard. International companies, working in power conservation sector are willing to help Pakistan come out or present energy crises through investment in the technology related to effective and environmental friendly usage of electric power. Earlier, Munawar Iqbal, central president of PCA and Abdullah Malik, President Islamabad Chapter welcomed the initiatives of APC by Schneider in regard with efficient power conservation as well as developing its partners network in Pakistan. Munawar Iqbal highlighted the potential in different sectors of Pakistans economy including energy sector and said that international companies like APC by Schneider should invest in these areas to earn lucrative returns. Abdullah Malik presented a detailed outlook of computer and IT industry in Pakistan and the role of PCA for the promotion of this vital sector of the economy. Muneeb Khawaja said that his company was willing to help Pakistan to combat with energy related problems resulted by present flood in the country, which has destroyed infrastructure in many areas of Pakistan. He said that APC terms Pakistan as an important country to make new investments and it would initiate projects keeping in view the specific needs of Pakistan in energy sector. He appreciated the role of PCA and said that his company desires to work with Pakistani stakeholders in various sectors of the economy including IT sector and it welcomes suggestions made by the PCA in regard with effective power management in local industry as well as establishing Channel Partner Programme for mutual benefit and promote legal trades channels in the country.
