LAHORE The National Economic Council has issued new gas loadshedding schedule for winter season and a formal announcement in this regard is expected on Tuesday (tomorrow). According to new schedule, domestic consumers have been exempted from gas loadshedding while industrial and CNG sectors would observe gas loadshedding for 72 hours (three days) and 48 hours (two days) respectively. It is to be noted that both Sui Northren Gas Pipeline Limited and SSGC are getting over 3,800 million cubic feet gas on daily basis from which 800 million cubic feet gas is being supplied to power sector and factories producing fertilizers. All Pakistan CNG Association Chairman Ghayas Abdullah Piracha said that new gas loadshedding schedule is not acceptable to us as this sector is using only 6.8pc of total gas consumption.
