KARACHI - Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI), has decided not to support any kind of protest to be staged on July 7, by some so called trade bodies against measures announced in the budget.
President KCCI, Iftikhar Ahmed Vohra in a statement here on Sunday said that some “so called trade bodies” which have no legal status, have planned to protest on June 7 against some measures announced by the Federal Government. KCCI, being the premier and largest chamber of the country, has decided not to support such elements.
He said that KCCI in consultation with all legal Chambers of Commerce and Trade Associations will finalize its plan of action from July 10 to 15, against “anti-business steps” taken in federal budget which have triggered resentment amongst the entire business and industrial community.
