LAHORE Zonal Chief Zarai Taraqiati Bank Limited (ZTBL) Okara Zone Salman Arshad has said that the top bank administration is striving hard to bring Green Revolution in agriculture sector, which is the backbone of the countrys economy. He said that President ZTBL Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf has introduced multiple initiatives that would help equip growers with modern agri-technology in rural areas to enhance per acre yield. He said that small farmers are being given top priority as President Asif Ali Zardari had directed the management to initiate farmers-friendly projects according to which the small growers are being facilitated first. He said that the ZTBL was going to initiate more projects regarding agri-technology and financial assistance for farmers for agri-inputs to boost the agriculture sector in the country as the bank has completed its 50 years of services in the agriculture sector. He also lauded the efforts of the ZTBL President Chaudhry Muhammad Zaka Ashraf for introducing welfare projects for the small growers on the occasion of golden jubilee. He further urged the bank staff to celebrate the gold jubilee of the bank with commitment that they would leave no stone unturned to improve the functioning of the bank by serving the farmers in better way. He also said that the President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Syed Yousaf Raza Gilani have reposed their full confidence on the ZTBL President Chaudhry Zaka Ashraf and now it is the responsibility of the bank management to show extraordinary performance by serving the growers.
