DIB to facilitate Haj scheme



Karachi – Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan Limited has been nominated by the Ministry of Religious Affairs, Government of Pakistan (GoP) to facilitate its Haj Scheme. DIBPL has become the first Islamic Bank in Pakistan ever to collect Haj applications on behalf of the GoP, says a press release. Intending pilgrims can obtain Haj application Forms from any branch of DIBPL across Pakistan. The Bank will accept Haj applications on behalf of the Ministry of Religious Affairs on a first-come first-serve basis. The Ministry of Religious Affairs intends to facilitate Haj for 90,000 pilgrims this year and has proposed three different categories of the Haj Scheme depending on accommodation. Forms for each of the respective category (Green, Blue and White) are available at all DIBPL branches.Commenting on the Haj scheme, the CEO of DIBPL, Junaid Ahmed said that Dubai Islamic Bank Pakistan continues to deliver innovative and Shari’a compliant products and services. The Bank has undertaken this project to provide easily accessible Haj application forms to pilgrims, in the first ever initiative of this sort taken by an Islamic Bank in Pakistan. Several new valuable financial solutions have been planned for this year as DIBPL continues to provide enhanced Islamic Banking services to all its customers, he added.
