PESHAWAR:  Peshawar Chamber of Small Traders and Small Industry has condemned the harassing of small traders by Customs authorities making Nakabandis and checking on main G.T road.
In a statement issued here Wednesday, President PCSTI Ihtesham Haleem said the Custom authorities are harassing businessmen by erecting nakabandies and checking documents of goods being loaded in vehicles for transportation.
He alleged that the Custom Authorities compel businessmen for bribing them else they will be charged and take legal action.
Ihtesham demanded of the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) to take notice of this practice and provide relief to the business community of Peshawar.–APP
He said the businessmen are already facing a lot of hardships due to poor law and order situation in the province and such practice by the Custom authorities has further aggravated there miseries.
