APAT to be restructured at district level

LAHORE - Anjuman-e-Tajiran Punjab has decided to hold a meeting of its district and divisional heads on Thursday (today) with APAT president Mian Mannan in the chair at the building of Faisalabad Chambers of Commerce and Industry to devise strategy for establishment of chambers of small traders and cottage industry at district level.
After the meeting, APAT central president Mian Mannan along with central chairman Kh Shafiq and general secretary Naeem Mir will hold a press briefing.
Central general secretary Naeem Mir said that the meeting will decide to launch a special drive for the formation of chambers of small traders. The meeting will also consider setting up offices of small chambers in buildings of present chambers. He said the district heads of APAT will also recommend raising the small traders’ annual turnover from Rs.20 million to Rs.50 million for metropolitan city in view of soaring inflation.
With a view to improve performance the meeting will also announce the members of small traders’ supreme council, which will work as a Federation of Small Chambers, he added. The APAT will also decide to issue a monthly magazine on national level to represent small chambers.
The meeting will also approve to restructure the organization at provincial level and the Anjuman-e-Tajiran Punjb will be divided into central, south and north Punjab.
 Central Punjab will consist of Lahore, Gujranwala and Sahiwal Divisions and North Punjab will comprise of Rawalpindi, Sargodha and Faisalabad while North part will include Bahawalpur, Multan and D.G. Khan divisions.
