Sindh minister denies any wheat shortage in province

KARACHI : Sindh Minister for Food, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar on Thursday said there was no wheat shortage in any part of the province. Talking to journalists, he said sufficient stocks of wheat are available in all parts of Sindh including Hyderabad and that this has been duly provided to all flour mills and traditional millers, known as chakki, in Hyderabad. In reply to a question, he said 106,000 wheat bags are provided on monthly basis to the wheat millers of the division and no rise in demand for what has been registered from any part of Hyderabad. Dahar warned that stern action would be taken against the elements trying to create artificial shortage as per law of the land.
