Rupee further weakens



KARACHI - The dollar witnessed gain against rupee in the interbank market, dealers said Friday. It initiated the day’s trading at Rs 90.41 for buying, gained 21 paisas and closed at Rs 90.62 for buying and Rs 90.67 for selling. The Euro depreciated its strength against rupee as it began the day’s trading at Rs 116.33 for buying, slumped 33 paisas and closed at Rs 116 for buying and Rs 116.2 for selling. The British currency lost its value against local currency, it started the day’s trading at Rs 140.81 for buying, decreased 33 paisas and closed at Rs 140.48 for buying and Rs 140.68 for selling.
In open market the dollar recorded strength against the rupee, dealers said. It started the day’s trading at Rs 90.3, increased 20 paisas and closed at Rs 90.5 for buying and Rs 90.9 for selling. The European currency decreased its value against local currency as it initiated the day’s trading at Rs 116, depreciated 70 paisas and closed at Rs 115.3 for buying and Rs 117.5 for selling. The British pound depreciated strength against the rupee.

, it began the day’s trading at Rs 140.3, lost 50 paisas and closed at Rs 139.8 for buying and Rs 141.8 for selling.
