2nd Lahore Literary Festival
LAHORE (PR): The second annual Lahore Literary Festival will kick off in the historic city of Lahore on February 21st, 2014. The festival will be held at the Alhamra Arts Centre and will run over three days this year. “LLF 2014 will feature over 100 delegates from eight countries over three days,” said Razi Ahmed, LLF’s founding director. “We have scheduled book launches, readings, panel discussions, performances, and exhibitions as part of this year’s festival to celebrate the best of Lahore’s varied and storied cultural traditions.”
“The program for LLF 2014 will be unveiled soon,” said Nusrat Jamil, president of the LLF 2014 Advisory Committee.
There are over 100 local and foreign speakers scheduled to discuss literature, film, food, visual arts, journalism, textiles, education and more at LLF 2014.
PHCF holds event
LAHORE (PR): Pakistan Human Capital Forum held its 17th session at Royal Palm & Country Club and brought together a large number of professionals, guests, corporate and associate members having varied levels of Human Resource and other business backgrounds for a discussion on the outlook of modern trade and a comprehensive overview on the leadership challenges in Retail industry of Pakistan.
The focal point of the event was to have a platform where participants can listen to the perspectives of the modern trade leaders about retailscape in Pakistan. Featured spokespersons of the session included Nadeem Rehmani, Vice president & operational director Metro Cash & Carry Pakistan and Shahid Hussain, CEO Servis Sales Corporation Ltd, whereas Umer Saeed Khan, Founder PHCF (CEO, Activ8) played as a moderator.
Spokespersons highlighted and revolved the discussion around the basic idea of the retailscape in Pakistan, viewing the retail environment from the perspective of a shopper moving through a retail precinct and how it is functional for the professionals in their businesses.
Daewoo Express, United Mobile join hands
LAHORE (PR): Daewoo Pakistan Express Bus Service Ltd and United Mobile have joined hands for a strategic alliance covering various aspects of business including, but not limited to, promotional activities and creating passenger convenience. In this regard, an agreement signing ceremony was held on Friday at a local hotel. Faisal Siddiqui, Vice President Daewoo Express, and Syed Ejaz Hassan, Director United Mobile, signed the agreement.
Faisal Siddiqui said it was a proud moment for Daewoo to enter into a strategic business alliance with United Mobile.

Samsung at MENA Forum

Haier ‘brand seminar’
LAHORE (PR): Haier held its annual Brand Seminar at a local hotel to celebrate the tremendous brand success and honor the stakeholders for their support. Book launching ceremony
KARACHI (PR): The launching ceremony of book “Qalam Se Awaaz Tak”, which is biography of Raza Ali Abidi and written by Khurram Sohail, will be held in Karachi Literature Festival 2014 at Beach Luxury Hotel on February 8 (today). Raza Ali Abidi is a renowned journalist and writer of many books. He has been the broadcaster of BBC World Urdu Service.
This is the fourth book written by Khurram Sohail. Ghazi Salahuddin would be the moderator of the book launching event while the panel members would comprise of Raza Ali Abidi and Novelist Intizar Hussain.
