LAHORE - To make Pakistan more attractive for international business and to eliminate corruption from the local level, independence of judiciary is vital that can create a stable economic platform for foreign investment.
Addressing a seminar arranged for young lawyers on ‘Foreign Investment and Local Business Laws’ at Sir Ganga Ram Trust Hall, Intazar Mahdi Advocate, proposed the judicial system more transparent and ‘improve mechanisms to avoid false accusations and confessions obtained through torture’.
Dr Ali Sajid, former head Institute of Business Management UET, said that it is necessary to develop understanding that how the economy can react with law. Former Additional Prosecutor General Nasirud Din Nayer also stressed that necessary legal training and guidance to the legal professionals is necessary by holding regular workshops, seminars and lectures.
