LAHORE (APP) The livestock sector consisting of 53.4 percent of agricultural GDP, contributed $200 million to national exports last year. According to a statistical report of UVAS here, forestry and fisheries contribute two and one percent in agricultural GDP respectively whereas the share of crops is 44 percent. A livestock product of beef, mutton and by-products exports was $74.4 million and live animal exports $13.95 million during the previous year, the report added. Livestock also has its major role in big export contingents of leather garments, amounting to $697 million in national exports, tanned leather $281 million and foot-wear $111 million, it added.
