LSE loses 9.50 points


LAHORE – Bearish trend prevailed at Lahore Stock Exchange on Monday as it shed 9.50 points, following the LSE-25 index opened with 4165.21 and closed at 4155.71 points.
The market’s overall situation also did not correspond to an upward trend as it remained at 3.846 million shares to close against previous turnover of 6.012 million shares, showing a downward slide of 2.166 million shares. While, out of the total 104 active scrips 19 moved up, 30 shed values and 55 remined equal. Honda Atlas Cars (Pak), Maple Leaf Cement Factory and Hira Textile Mills Limited were Major Gainer of the day by recording increase in their per share value by Re 0.85, Re 0.53 and Re 0.35 respectively.
National Bank of Pakistan, Engro Corporation Limited and Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited lost their per share value by Rs 1.21, Re 0.91 and Re 0.75 respectively. The Volume Leader of the day included The Bank of Punjab Limited with 520,500 shares, Maple Leaf Cement Factory with 441,500 shares and Karachi Electric Supply Company with 427,500 shares.
