OEC sends 1,911 people abroad during last FY

ISLAMABAD (APP) - Overseas Employment Corporation (OEC), an attached department of Ministry of Overseas Pakistanis has exported some 1,911 people abroad during the last financial year (FY) from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011 to GCC states and South Korea. Talking to APP on Sunday, Managing Director of OEC, Saeed Ahmed Shaikh said that the number of persons proceeded to Saudi Arabia, UAE, Bahrain, Oman, Libya, Malaysia, Maldives and South Korea. During the period from January to June 2011, five different delegations from Ministry of Defence and Health, Saudi Arabia, Pakistan School Muscat, Sultanate of Oman and HRD Korea visited Pakistan for selection of Pakistani workforce through OEC. Saeed Shaikh said that recently to boost the export of manpower to Korea in this regard, OEC and Human Resource Development (HRD) Services of Korea signed Service Commitment Agreement.
