District Food Controller Sajid Hussain said on Sunday that the Food Department has increased the target of wheat procurement by 14pc in district Multan during coming rabi crop. Talking to APP, Sajid Hussain said the Multan Food Department would purchase 2,27,000 metric tonnes of wheat through 16 purchase centres while last year the department had set the wheat procurement target about 1,99,000 metric tonnes.
