GE demonstrates electrical efficiency
LAHORE (PR): Demonstrating once again its leadership in the field of reciprocating engine innovation used to meet the rapidly growing demand for reliable on-site power, GE Power & Water’s Distributed Power business (NYSE: GE) has announced the technological breakthrough of 50.1 percent electrical efficiency.
GE has achieved 50.1 per cent electrical efficiency on its 10-megawatt (MW) gas engine platform in a test environment in Austria.  This technology breakthrough follows a long history of technology innovation within GE. GE is investing $1.4 billion in distributed power technology and has been rapidly expanding its reciprocating engines offerings—particularly its diesel engine technologies—to meet the on-site power, heating and environmental priorities of the oil and gas sector and other key industries.
 In 2014, GE’s Distributed Power business introduced its new 616 diesel engine and also integrated GE Transportation’s proven 228 and 250 diesel engine technology into its diesel engine portfolio for stationary power generation.

MOL Group launches talent acquisition programmes
KARACHI (PR): MOL Group, a leading international oil and gas company, opens its doors for young professionals, graduates and students and continues the award-winning graduate recruitment program ’Growww’ and the international student online competition ’Freshhh’.
Students from all around the world can register for the online competition Freshhh in three-member teams. The top teams will have the opportunity to join MOL Group’s graduate program Growww and win a total of 25,000 Euros. At the same time, for graduates, more than 200 Growww positions are currently open in diverse fields as engineering, economics, IT, natural sciences, and social sciences on the group-level in 12 countries.

MOL also calls for applications of three-member teams for its 9th international online student competition, Freshhh. International teams from all around the world can join the online competition – www.freshhh.net – to prove themselves in oil and gas industry related tasks, developed by MOL Group. Top five teams will get the opportunity to join MOL Group’s graduate program Growww, and win a total of 25,000 Euros.

Etisalat extends record of success at Mobile Awards
ISLAMABAD (PR): Etisalat, the leading telecommunications operator in emerging markets, has continued its recent history of success at the industry’s most prestigious annual awards. Etisalat came out on top of strong global competition to claim two highly sought-after awards for innovation at the GSMA’s Global Mobile Awards. Recognition in the GSMA’s 2015 annual awards brings to six the number of awards won by the company in the last three years.
Etisalat won in “The Best Use of Mobile for Retail, Brands & Commerce” category for its Mobile Cashier product offering and “The Mobile Connect Award for Best Authentication & Identity Solution” for Etisalat Mobile Connect service. Following the judgment by a panel of independent and highly respected industry experts, the winners were announced at a big ceremony during the Mobile World Congress being held in Barcelona, Spain.

The award winning Etisalat Mobile Cashier enables businesses to accept credit card payments directly on their mobile phones, while Mobile Connect, helps customers to manage their Digital Identity and protect privacy on-line.  A member of the judging panel said the winning Etisalat products represented “a stand-out entry in terms of the scale of deployment and comprehensive suite of commerce offerings across so many countries and different verticals.”

Honda Atlas Cars holds free medical camp
LAHORE (PR): In continuation with the efforts for social uplift and welfare of the people in remote areas, a one-day free medical camp was arranged by Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited at Renala Khurd. Approximately 480 people living in the area were given free medical treatment and medicines. Honda Atlas Cars has arranged six free medical camps under the name of its organization, so far.
Doctors and paramedical staff were deputed at the camp that provided medical treatment and general health care. Besides being a medical facility, the camp also aimed at educating local populace on personal health, hygiene, child health care, prevention of diseases and sanitation of living areas. Parents were also advised on curable diseases in children and lady doctors counseled related to mother /child health matters.
Honda Atlas Cars (Pakistan) Limited is fully committed to social health uplift and welfare of under privileged areas. The camp received massive response from the local community and was highly appreciated by the local leaders.

AAK Foundation wins ‘Shaukat Khanum CSR Award’
LAHORE (PR): AAK Foundation was recently awarded with the annual Social Responsibility Award, presented by Shaukat Khanum Memorial Cancer Hospital and Research Center (SKMCH and RC), for extending generous support to the hospital.
