Dollar strengthens against rupee

KARACHI - American dollar got marginal strength against Pak rupee in inter-bank and cash free market on Thursday. According to the data provided by the Exchange Companies Association of Pakistan, the US dollar traded at lowest price of Rs 106.02 and highest price of Rs 106.07 in inter-bank while the lowest price of it in cash free market was Rs 106.30 and highest was Rs 106.50. Meanwhile, total liquid foreign reserves of the country stand at dollars 9.128 billion, said State Bank of Pakistan.
According to SBP's weekly statement here on Thursday, the foreign reserves held by State Bank on 4th of this month were $ 3,953.6 million and the net foreign reserves held by banks other than SBP figured $ 5,174 million.
