Lahore - The PIAF-Founders Alliance got a very warm welcome during their visits to different markets and industrial associations throughout the week, including Kot Lakhpat Industrial Estate¸ Ferozepur Road Industrial Estate, Raiwind Road industrial area, Quaid-e-Azam Industrial Estate, McLeod Road, Brandreth Road, Bilal Gunj, Shah Alam Market, Urdu Bazaar and Ferozepur Road.
The Alliance leaders, including Mian Misbahur Rahman, Mian Anjum Nisar, Irfan Iqbal Sheikh, Mian Shafqat Ali, Muhammad Ali Mian, Malik Tahir Javed and Abdul Basit, shed light on Alliance’s manifesto and promised to resolve the issues being faced by the businessmen attached to different sectors. When the leaders and candidates reached McLeod Road, they were received by sewing machine and auto market office-bearers, who pledged to support the candidates in the upcoming Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) elections.
At Ferozepur Road, Chaudhry Mahboob Ali Sirki Khadim Hussain and other trade leaders welcomed the Alliance leaders and as well as the candidates.
Chaudhry Mehboob Ali Sirki on the occasion announced that all Ferozepur Road businessmen would support the Alliance during LCCI elections.
At Montgomery Road, Abid Market, Mozang, Anjuman-e-Tajran office-bearers arranged a reception in the honour of Alliance. Speaking on the occasion, Associate Class leaders Muhammad Ali Mian, Nasir Saeed and Irfan Iqbal Sheikh said that Montgomery Road, Abid Market, Mozang businessmen would be given proper representation in the LCCI standing Committees. They said that it was on record that despite multiple challenges, the outgoing LCCI leadership utilised all energies to keep the wheel of the economy on the run. “The LCCI has left no stone unturned to safeguard the interests of the business community and it will continue to do so in future as well,” they added.
They also appreciated traders’ role in the preparation of LCCI budget proposals. They informed that the Alliance had decided to give special attention to solar energy, halal food, textiles and textile made-ups, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, high tech engineering, footwear and embroidery sectors during the year to ensure an early economic turnaround.
The Alliance leaders said that people from these sectors had been given representation for the upcoming LCCI elections with the objective to highlight the challenges being faced by them.
