2.8m forms downloaded for ‘Business Loan’ scheme

LAHORE - The youth of Pakistan have made 2.8 million downloads so far from website of the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (SMEDA) for seeking information and business plans for Prime Minister’s Youth Business Loan (PMYBL) Scheme.
This was disclosed by CEO SMEDA Sardar Ahmad Nawaz Sukhera in an interview. He said that SMEDA website www.smeda.org.pk is a one stop solution to all of the questionnaires related with Prime Minister’s Youth Business Loan (PMYBL) Scheme.
The women should preferably depend upon SMEDA website instead of moving out to collect information for PMYBL Scheme; he said, adding that the entire information and documents of the scheme along with 56 pre-feasibilities of various business sectors are available in Urdu as well for convenience of the semi-educated young men and women.
Since the PMYBL scheme is purely a business loans scheme, an applicant will have to produce a viable business plan related with their skills and experience for applying the required loan, he said. That is why SMEDA has come forward to assist the applicants as a lead government organization with business planning and development services, he said, adding that all of the SMEDA services related to PM’s Youth Business Loan are absolutely free of Cost.
The 56 pre-feasibility studies, related FAQs, financial calculators pertaining to loan repayment, balance sheet, income statement, and cash flow statement, Business Plan Guidelines/Template and Training Video Documentary on ‘How to develop a Business Plan’, along with other related information material, has been specifically made available on SMEDA website, which are frequently being accessed by the loan applicants.
