KCCI worried over Karachi lawlessness

Karachi - The Karachi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI) Vice President Muhammad Idrees has strongly condemned the brutal assassination of a local trader who was killed recently in broad daylight at Abdullah Haroon Road Saddar, which is one of the busiest streets of Karachi.
In a statement issued on Tuesday, Muhammad Idrees demanded from the federal government to take notice of the rising lawlessness in Karachi and issue directives to the concerned authorities for immediate arrest of culprits responsible for murdering a trader of electronic market in Saddar.
He said, “It seems that the Sindh government has failed miserably to restore peace in Karachi, which leaves no other option for the business community but to approach the federal government for assistance.”
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Federal Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar, Chief of Army Staff Gen Raheel Sharif must take notice of the deteriorating law and order situation of Karachi city. A stringent and effective strategy must be devised to provide security to the perturbed business community and the general public, he added.
He further asked the Interior Minister Chaudhry Nisar to visit Karachi city and meet representatives of the business community in order to listen to the grievances being faced by them and personally gauge the rising insecurity of Karachi city.
