LAHORE - Pakistan Muthidda Kisan Mahaz has urged the Punjab government to allocate funds in the provincial budget 2010-11 for construction of water reservoirs. In its proposals for the coming provincial budget, PMKM Chief Ayub Khan Mayo urged the CM to implement the proposals by the growers and resolve the issues faced by this community. These proposals have been sent to the CM in an open letter. He said that Punjab should allocate amount for construction of Hydel Power Projects from two mega watts to 200 mega watts so as to provide cheaper electricity to the agriculture. PMKM further said that procurement reforms process in the Punjab food department should be carried out in consultation with the growers and farmers.
