Korean cultural event in Karachi

KARACHI (PR): The Karachi Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea has announced that it is organizing a Korean cultural event “A Night of Music in Karachi” that will feature eight top-class Korean artists (tenor, soprano, baritone and traditional musicians) and opera singers. Their performance will also include Korean and Western classical style songs. The show will take place on October 16, 2014 at the Pearl Continental Hotel, Karachi and will be attended by members of the diplomatic corps and top government functionaries, including the Sindh Minister for Culture & Tourism, Ms. Sharmila Farooqi, among distinguished guests.
The Korean cultural event is Karachi office’s attempt to facilitate people-to-people contact between Korea and Pakistan. It believes that such an endeavor will further cultural ties between our two countries and bring out the cultural richness our nations possess and go a long way in bolstering mutual understanding and help us achieve our common goals and
interests.
The Karachi Office of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea also greatly appreciated the efforts of the Department of Culture & Tourism, Government of Sindh, the Camp Office Karachi, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Pak-Korea Business and Friendship Council in facilitating and collaborating with us to successfully organize this event.
Consul General Lee Chang-hee feels that events such as this will pave the way for future similar exchanges and hopes that with this opportunity, the relationship between the Republic of Korea and Pakistan, which has steadily developed since the establishment of diplomatic ties in 1983, will prosper and grow deeper.
