Telenor starts deploying Biometric Verification System KARACHI (PR): In line with its commitment to ensure higher accuracy of subscriber data, Telenor Pakistan has initiated the installation of BVS at its retail outlets in Karachi and Baluchistan. The successful deployment of Biometric Verification System (BVS) for activation of SIMs at all Telenor Pakistan’s Sales & Service Centers (S&SCs) and Franchises across Pakistan has already been completed. On 10th March 2014, the first BVS at a retail outlet was successfully installed in Karachi - making Telenor Pakistan the first operator which has deployed BVS at its retail outlets.It is pertinent to note here that Telenor Pakistan has been selling SIMs through BVS at all of its S&SCs and Franchises in Karachi since December 01, 2013 and completed the installation of BVS for activation of SIMs across Pakistan at S&SCs and Franchises on December 19, 2013.
