ISLAMABAD (PPI) - Etihad Airways has flown young Pakistani Muslim leaders to the United Kingdom to take part in the 2010 Mosaic International Summit which aims to grow their leadership skills, for use in their careers and communities. The delegates flew with Etihad from Bangladesh, Pakistan, Indonesia, Malaysia, Oman, Afghanistan, Iraq and Bahrain. They will spend the next two weeks in a varied programme including leadership workshops, and activities to inspire positive thinking to tackle global social and economic issues. Delegates who travelled from Pakistan are: Memoona Sajjad, Rizwan Ahmad, Ishtiaq Hussain, Muhammad Adil, Muhammad Jamil Anwar, Syed Ali Salman, Saadia Wuqar un Nisa, Tabinda Sarosh, Palwasha Sherin Khan, Afzal Khan Shinwari Aarij Hasmini and Unjela Siddiqi. Founded by HRH The Prince of Wales, Mosaic has two key priorities which are to create opportunities for young people of all backgrounds who do not have them; and to create opportunity for understanding between different people and groups. The first week of the summit will take place at the University of Cambridge. The second week will see delegates disperse on regional tours of the UK, reconvening in London for the final 3 days. Here they will reflect on what they have learned, plan their next steps for their return home, and present their learning in a reception with HRH Princess Badiya bint El Hassan of Jordan, the Chair of Mosaic.
