KARACHI (PR): The first INC department store was inaugurated with a glittering launch and trunk show at Dolmen Mall Clifton on Saturday under the patronage of local partners, Retail Cluster Pakistan Pvt. Ltd managed by Tariq Khan, an entrepreneur and Chartered Accountant with over thirty years of corporate experience.
INC. was brought into fruition by a team of likeminded fashion enthusiasts with a shared pas- sion for style, individuality and retail. Riphah Varsity students awarded
LAHORE (PR): Sarfraz Chaudry and Ms Khaliqa Arshad of Manchester University,Sheffield Hallam University respectively studying at NCUK (Northern Consortium-UK) delivery center at Riphah International University campus Islamabad have been recognized by the international body for their distinction in academic performance.
Both of the students were also awarded £1,000 (each) for their outstanding academic performance. NCUK-Riphah is a center of excellence for undergraduate / graduate split program leading to UK Universities. The current student’s batch of 2014 is now in Aston, Liverpool, Manchester, Sheffield Hallam and University of Bradford to complete their degree programs. NCUK Riphah congratulates its progressing students with commitment to achieve academic excellence of international standards.
SSGC MD discusses CNG schedule with APCNGA
KARACHI (PR): A delegation of APCNGA Sindh Zone led by its Chairman Shabbir Sulemanjee met MD SSGC at SSGC-HO to hear the grievances of the CNG sector and to resolve their issues in the most suitable manner.The MD explained in detail the current gas supply position due to winters resulting in extreme low pressures in the system. However, the MD said that SSGC would provide gas to the CNG sector so that the load shedding would be to 2 days a week only for the CNG Sector commencing from coming week, except for the weeks where SSGC would close the CNG sector for 3 days due to crisis situation during the winter period.
Further, he also said that SSGC would try to provide the desired level of gas pressure during rest of the days to all CNG Stations in Sindh.
The MD also informed that the above arrangement would be applicable during the winter season after which normal 2-Day Closure in a week will be followed.
SOS Children's Villages Carnival on 23rd
LAHORE (PR): SOS Children’s Villages Pakistan is organizing a Children’s Carnival on Sunday, November 23rd, 2014 at Royal Palm Golf and Country Club, Lahore. The fundraiser is being organized for the benefit of the orphaned and abandoned children in our care.
Children accompanied by their families will be entertained at the carnival. There will be different fun filled activities various stalls, a fantastic food court, music by Coke Studio, puppet show, games and much more Timings for the event would be 10 AM till 5 PM. Tickets cost Rs.200/- per person and would be available at SOS Children’s Village Lahore and also at the venue.
The Educators debate competition
LAHORE: The annual regional level speech and debate competition held at the Islamabad Club auditorium by THE EDUCATORS Regional Office North team, witnessed an intense competition. A bunch of the brightest and most talented students from various parts of northern region took part in this event. This is one of the largest academic contest in the region, almost 500 students participated in the competition which started from cluster level and 42 winners reached the regional level.
Students from The Educators Bani Gala Campus, Bhara Kahu, Abbottabad, Havelian, Mardan, Swabi, Fateh Jang, Taxila, Chaklala, Chakwal, Capital, Fazal Town, Humak, Mirpur, Park Road, Dina, Islamabad, Dhudial, Potohar, Daultala, Asghar Mall, The Mall, Pindi Gheb vied for honors.
This type of competition empowers students to become effective communicators, ethical individuals, critical thinkers and creative leaders in the society.
The regional level competition is the capstone event for our students and teachers as they work countless hours throughout the year to prepare for this competition. Welcome address was delivered by the Regional Head North, Miss Ayesha Shaukatullah who stressed on the importance of such extracurricular activities and declared these to be the vital part to build up the confidence of forth coming generation and to add to their understanding of topsy –turvy of life.
