ISLAMABAD  - NEPRA has approved the enhancement of Karachi power tariff by 38 paisas per unit, as requested by KESC. National electric Power authority (NEPRA) sources said that the Karachi Electric supply Company (KESC) had applied for the enhancement of its power tariff by Rs1.00 per unit in the wake of international oil prices hikes, but the authority, finally approving of the summary of enhancement by paisa 38, has sent it to the ministry of water and power, a TV channel reported. On the other hand, KESC management told that power tariff would be raised only after the approval of the government, while giving a final date in this regard was not possible because of the ongoing management crisis in KESC.
