LAHORE – Pakistan Railways with tall claims of introducing business trains and upgraded services has not yet succeeded to normalize the operation of the passengers' trains.
Prolonged delay of trains continued to trouble the passengers and relatives waiting for arrival of their family members at various railway stations across the country. Delay of trains due to shortage of engines continued on Thursday forcing thousands of passengers to wait for hours in intense cold weather and without basic facilities.
Quetta-Rawalpindi Jaffar Express was 6 hours late and Zakariya Express from Karachi to Multan was 5 hours late.
Likewise, Tezgam Express from Karachi to Rawalpindi was 4 hours late and Super Express from Malkwal to Karachi was three hours late.
The passengers said that railways journey has become miserable for them.
