Lahore - PML-N central leader and MNA Hamza Shahbaz Sharif has said that no injustice would be done to affectees of the expanded Metro Bus project in the city and their every loss would be compensated.
While talking to a delegation of the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industries, Hamza promised to address all genuine apprehensions of the persons going to be affected by the expanded project and said the government by adding to the Metro Bus service is fulfilling its obligations towards providing best infrastructure which is necessary for the economic development of any country. However, he said, at the same time the government is also aware of the problems of the traders’ community and also knows how the extended project is going to affect them. He said the government would make for their losses on merit and would not do them injustice. He said in view of the fact a certain class of traders was not pleased with the project. The government has already sought alteration in the same. On the question of shifting of Sabzi Mandi, he said a decision in this regard would be taken after consultation with all stakeholders.
President of the Chamber Engineer Suhail Lashari thanked Hamza Shahbaz Sharif for listening to their problems and satisfying them on their concerns. He said the Chamber only wants the government to take the Chamber into confidence before any project.
