LAHORE (PR): Hundreds of WAPDA/electricity workers Monday protested against genocide and brutally killings of innocent Kashmiris by the Indian forces.
The protest, organised by All Pakistan Wapda Hydro Electric Workers Union, weas led by the veteran trade union leader Khurshid Ahmed, general secretary, Rana Muhammad Akram, Osama Tariq, Rana Shakoor, Haji Muhammad Younus and other trade union representatives. On the occasion, they demanded upgradation of the pay scales of Wapda/Discos workers. They also asked the government to pay bonus to WAPDA and remaining staff of distribution companies alike GENCO and NTDC. They also urged the Ministry Water and Power and PEPCO management to ensure safe working conditions to workers and develop hydel power stations and dams to provide cheap power to the masses.
