Rupee vs dollar sinks further

Rupee value Monday dropped by 60/ 80 paisa in the inter-bank market. Money market dealers said that  the inter-bank market had closed at Rs69 for 1 dollar, while this increasing trend in the value of dollar spurred by importers buying dollars persisted even today, which during the trading was seen bought at Rs69.60 and sold at Rs69.80. Dealers said that the import bill has kept soaring due to sky-rocketing prices of oil and grains in the international market and the heavy buying of dollars by the importers prompting rupee value declines.
