NIP signs pact with Scilife for pharma construction plant

KARACHI : National Industrial Parks Development & Management Company (NIP) and Scilife Pharma Private Limited have signed a Licence Agreement which authorises the latter to start construction of its state-of-the-art manufacturing plant on over two acres plot at Korangi Creek Industrial Park (KCIP), flagship project of NIP. The agreement was signed by Mohsin Syed, CEO of NIP and Shahid Ghaury, Chief Executive of Scilife, an emerging name in the Pharmaceutical Industry, involved in products in the fields of Diabetes, Neurology, Cardiology, Gastroenterology, Hepatology, ENT, Infectious and Pulmonary diseases.
Earlier GETZ Pharma, Mobil Askari, Al-Rehman Lubricants, Faruk Impex and MEK have signed licence agreements with NIP and all of them have started construction of their manufacturing units on their respective plots. Currently about 400 skilled and unskilled labors are working at the site.
Meanwhile another 15 building plans submitted by the customers of KCIP are awaiting approval from Cantonment Board Korangi Creek (CBKC) who are keen to start construction on their respective plots.
Keeping in view the current law and order situation in the city, NIP will ensure a foolproof security system to its clients and as such it has decided to install a dedicated Electronic Security System (ESS) at KCIP.
