LAHORE - Farmers should sow certified varieties of garlic like Garlic Gulabi and GS-1 for good yield. A spokesman of the Punjab agriculture department said on Saturday that garlic pod should be cultivated in lining besides burying it 3 cm deep in land. He also suggested the growers to keep a distance of eight to ten inches in each lining while the distance between plants should be 4 inches. Farmers must use fertilizers as per the advice of agriculture experts, he added.
