Pak rupee hits record low against dollar

The Pakistani rupee on Wednesday hit a record low of 90.03 to the dollar as import payments rose and exporters held on to the greenback in the face of a bleak economic outlook for the country. “The rupee was traded at 90.03 (to the dollar),” said a bank dealer. The rupee was trading at 89.92/98 to the dollar at 2:58 p.m. local time compared with Tuesday’s close of 89.90/95.
