Without peace, economic growth not possible

LAHORE - All the segments of the society would have to work hand in hand to make the country a land of peace, progress and tranquility and make it economically strong enough to thwart the nefarious designs of the anti-Pakistan elements.
These views were expressed at a seminar held in connection with Pakistan Day and organized by Jinnah, Justice Welfare Foundation (JJWF) in collaboration with the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry here at LCCI on Thursday. The LCCI Vice President Kashif Anwar was the Chief Guest. JJWF President Nasreen Majeed Chohan, Senior Advocate Kazim Bukhari and PML(N) leader Shahbaz Haider and Asif Sahr also spoke on the occasion. The LCCI Vice President said that there were no two opinions about it that collective efforts and collective wisdom were direly needed to put the country on path to progress and prosperity.
Kashif Anwar said that the private sector and the government institutions would have to expedite the process of consultation to evolve new policies to overcome the challenges including the shortage of energy and water. He said that the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry would continue to support all such Non-governmental Organizations who are working for the betterment of the society.
