RAWALPINDI - Overseas Chinese Association of Pakistan (OCAP) has signed a memorandum of understanding with Rawalpindi Chamber of Commerce and Industry (RCCI).
The OCAP Chairman Chen Zong Dong, Deputy Chairman La Jlelian, Director Liu Chang Quan, President RCCI Mian Humayun Parvez, Senior Vice President Saqib Rafiq, Secretary Irfan Manan and others were present at the signing ceremony.
On this occasion Chairman OCAP said that under this agreement RCCI and OCAP would work together to organize and maintain a database to identify and promote products and services.
Initiating measures to enhance mutual trust, patience and transparency will be their top priority.
Promotion of bilateral trade relations, joint promotions, marketing and ventures would be taken, he added.
He said that this MOU would serve as a platform to strengthen the linkages between the trader's communities of both countries.
Chen Zong Dong lauded the RCCI's efforts in facilitating traders and promoting trade activities in the country.
Speaking on the occasion, RCCI president Mian Humayun Parvez said that this MOU was a great milestone which reflected the trust and interest of Chinese companies to invest in Pakistan.
This would help us in organizing expos and exchanging trade delegations and information of businesses, he added.
He said that the MOU would also help traders to identify the genuine companies whom they wanted to have businesses.
This document would also serve as an effective channel to represent views of industrialists, businessmen and entrepreneurs to convey their message to respective governments, he added.
He said that OCAP being a major representative of the corporate/industrial Sector in Pakistan would help us in promoting an environment conductive to national economic development within a framework of sustainable social equity and to promote Industrial sector of the country more efficiently and effectively.
